New Twist in Elvish Yadav Rave Party Case: Cobra and Krait Venom Found in Seized Samples
The Noida Police have confirmed that the samples seized from a rave party allegedly attended by Elvish Yadav, a popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner, have tested positive for the venom of cobra and krait snakes. This is a new twist in the case that has been making headlines since November 2023, when the police raided the party on suspicion of snake venom being used as a form of intoxication by the attendees.
Elvish Yadav, who gained fame through his YouTube channel and reality show win, is accused of being involved in the supply and use of snake venom at the party. He has denied all the allegations and said he will cooperate with the police investigation. The case has sparked outrage among animal rights activists and the public, who have condemned the cruelty and illegality of extracting and consuming snake venom.
According to the police, the samples were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Jaipur for analysis, which revealed the presence of venom of cobra and krait species of snakes. Cobra and krait venom are highly toxic and can cause paralysis, respiratory failure, and death in humans. The police said that the venom was likely injected or ingested by the party-goers, who may have experienced hallucinations, euphoria, and pain.
The police had arrested five men in connection with the case, who confessed to being snake smugglers and suppliers of snake venom at rave parties organized by Elvish Yadav. The police had also rescued nine snakes, including five cobras, from the party venue, and found that their venom glands were missing. The police had registered a case under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and the Indian Penal Code, 1860, against the accused.
Elvish Yadav, who was questioned twice by the police, had claimed that he had no knowledge of the snake venom and that he was only invited to the party as a guest. He had also brought up the name of Bollywood singer Fazilpuria, alleging that he had arranged the snakes for one of his music videos. Fazilpuria had denied any involvement in the case and said that he had used rubber snakes for his video.
The case has raised serious questions about the extent and nature of drug abuse in the entertainment industry and the society at large. It has also highlighted the need for stricter enforcement of the laws and regulations to protect the wildlife and the environment from exploitation and harm.
